We have over 200 reviews on Angi’s (formerly known as Angi’s List) dating back to 2010. You may not see many recent reviews on there, but that’s only because our newest clients have left their kind words on Google instead. This was the 2nd time we have used Pearl Painters, and we were again very satisfied. This project involved painting the walls and ceiling of a large bedroom and the master bathroom. Pearl responded quickly to our initial inquiry, visited our home, thoroughly examined the project site, made a video recording of the site and the work to be performed, and provided us with a detailed work scope along with a fair price. The communication was very good throughout the project. The project leader was Isaiah Hines, and he and Josie Robles worked all day and into the night to finish the entire project in one day. They were professional, polite and friendly, and kept us informed throughout the project.

Description of Work: The bedroom and bathroom walls had been painted in dark colors, and we had them repainted in white. The ceiling in the bedroom had never been sealed or painted, and we wanted it painted in the same color as the walls.

I have now used Pearl Painters for two major projects - my homes full interior painting 2 years ago, and more recently the entire exterior (photo attached). Both experiences were fantastic. First and foremost, Brian, (the owner) clearly is a perfectionist. He takes great pride in his company and refuses to cut corners. His crew is top notch and very professional. They show up on time, work hard throughout the day, are friendly and personable and do great work.This was so important to me as I have children at home and it is important to me to feel comfortable with the crew working around my home (and my children) for multiple days. (I also noticed some of the crew working on my recent job were the same guys who did my last job over 2 years ago! It must be a good company to work for if they are keeping the same crew around.) The painting on my exterior has literally transformed my home. Every day when I drive up the street I cant help but smile when I see how beautiful it now looks! I had no idea a fresh coat of paint, done well, could make such a drastic difference for a homes curb appeal! At the end of the project, Brian and Craig were both pointing out imperfections that THEY wanted to fix in order to finish the job to their high standards. These were things I wouldnt have even noticed, but Pearl Painters truly wants it to be perfect when they leave. This is the opposite of so many other companies/contractors I have worked with in the past who sweep things under the rug and hope the customer doesnt notice. There is honestly no cutting corners with these guys - They are top notch and it shows. I had sticker shock inititally when getting quotes for doing these big projects- and I shopped around both times, but the professionalism of Pearl Painters stood out and made me choose them, and honestly, I think it was worth every penny.

Description of Work: Exterior Painting (2 stories, lots of trim work)

I would highly recommend Pearl Painting, and wish I would have had their services in the other homes I have lived in across the country over the last 10 years. High attention to the details in quoting process, scheduling, punctuality, and quality of work performed. We had a difficult project that included spraying interior cabinets, and also in new wood walls in a small bathroom. The lines needed between colors in living, dining and kitchen were perfect. Most of all - customer service of the painters on the projects completing the work was second to none. I also thank Pearl for providing me with the name for color consultation - the advice from Vanessa from ColorMoxie was perfect, and the rooms look beautiful! We will continue to use Pearl Painting for future projects and highly recommend them.

We recently used Pearl painters to tackle the exterior of our house. We knew when it came time to complete this project it would be tough due to the nature of our house and the different textures but Pearl painters were amazing. The pre-work of coming out and walking through what our thought process was, what colors we were thinking of doing and getting their advice on what has worked and was hasn't was invaluable. The team onsite was amazing and very professional. Due to the rain the start date was pushed back but they were there every morning at 7am to get caught up and even came out on the weekend. 9 years ago we hired Pearl Painters to paint the exterior of our home. They did an outstanding job of pointing out a couple of things that needed to be addressed before they began prepping our home to begin the process of painting the exterior.

This year we worked with Luke Hass. He did an excellent job of explaining exactly what would be done in prepping and painting the exterior of our home. He also explained the choices we had in choosing the brand and paint quality for our project. We were also able to have our previous paint colors matched for the new project. In addition he walked around the house and created a video explaining exactly what would be done. This was really helpful when reviewing the written contract.

Everything from the prep to the painting, was done with great care by the craftspeople Traynor, Liane and Edder. On the final day we were asked to walk around the house and place a piece of tape on anything that might need a touchup.

Once again we are very happy with the outcome of this project.

Pearl Painters are wonderful craftspeople and are really great to work with. Also, their website offers great information on understanding how to hire a reputable painting company, like Pearl Painters.

We couldn't be more pleased with our recent kitchen renovation with Pearl Painters! Their bid on our project was very competitive, with their written proposal very thorough and professional. After moving to our new home, we decided this time to tackle some of the big projects right at the start...and this involved a bigger paint job than we were ready to take on as a DIY. In doing searches in our new city, I came across Pearl Painters and their very detailed description of their process caught my attention. From the estimate appointment with Randy Meyer, to the quick scheduling, and the main team of painting EXPERTS Traynor & Jeff (and extra help from Leanne, Isaiah & Noah)....we were continuously impressed with the attention to detail throughout. I am a self-admitted perfectionist and the crew leader Traynor was ALWAYS responsive to any feedback or concerns I had. The areas they painted involved the majority of the interior and they even managed to keep everything around them clean and organized since we'd already moved in.

The bonus was how lovely, friendly and just plain NICE all these people are! We did several projects upon move-in and this was the easiest one of all, with a truly great outcome. After we save up some additional funds, we fully intend to have Pearl Painters take on the few remaining rooms that need a new look! They were not the cheapest bid but they are definitely the best VALUE.

I highly recommend Pearl Painters! – Pearl Painters prepped and painted our two-story foyer. The team arrived on time and started to work immediately laying out tarps and covering banisters and carpeted stairs. When I had questions after the job was done, Brian and Chris came out and did an inspection. I am completely satisfied with their work. I would highly recommend Pearl Painters.

A paint job that will last for years! – This project required extensive prep work including replacement of siding and sill dry rot and scraping of flaking paint. Brian came to give us an estimate on costs and wowed us with his knowledge of what would be needed to bring this house back to good exterior condition. Even though the costs ended up being more than I would have liked, the reasons he gave for each step proved to be valid as we looked at the house carefully. We are so grateful that those items of deterioration were caught before they became serious problems. We much prefer to have problems repaired rather than painting over them and want a paint job that will last for years. He helped us feel confident about the color and finish paint we chose without pushing his opinions. Each step of the work was finished on time, with appropriate amounts of communication with us and our tenants. They were careful with plants near the house and any concerns the tenants had about their vegetable garden. The workers were professional in attitude and behavior. Great Experience with this Painting company! – Pearl Painters prepared and painted walls and ceilings in two large rooms, the foyer, stairwell and upstairs hallways. They were recommended to us by our Interior designer, Nancy Faunt. Nancy is a highly regarded designer that works at Parker Furniture. She has worked with Pearl Painters many times before. The owner himself met with us in our home where we discussed the color and finish possibilities from the large sample chips and finish display boards he had brought with him. We were given a price quote at that time, and, after agreeing to the price, we paid a deposit of 1/2 the total. Because we were eager to get the project finished so that the new bookcases could be installed, Pearl Painters fit us in within the week. The painting crew of two were highly professional beginning even before they arrived. The crew leader called ahead on the day before to discuss the project and what to expect from them. They arrived on time each of the three days, did an expert job at masking, priming, texturing as well as prepping the project to protect the windows and the new hardwood floors. The crew worked quickly and expertly, cleaning up at the end of every day, and when then were finished they left us with beautiful new walls and ceilings. We will hire them again soon!

I'm so glad I went with Pearl Painters!!! – Pearl Painters (and their associated Academy of Artisan Finishes) were incredibly helpful. No only are they highly knowledgeable on painting projects, but they were able to guide me in the right direction for my interior painting project. I had searched throughout the Portland metro area to find someone who could do a faux painting effect like we wanted on our dining room ceiling. Pearl Painters are conveniently located in Tigard and not only were helpful in their bid for the project, but they offered to teach me how to do it myself if I was interested in this option and wanted to save on some of the cost. Through their Academy of Artisan Finishes, I was able to learn some techniques for getting my desired faux effect. The training academy was great. My wife and I both took the class and were able to paint the ceiling ourselves. We had them come out while we painted for about an hour or so for consulting purposes to make sure we were doing it right, and I am very happy with how helpful they were, how respectful they were and how much time they put into understanding what we wanted and presenting options for getting us there. Their advice and assistance was also tremendous. I'm grateful that they recommended I take the class since I now feel motivated to try a similar project in other parts of the house. Now that I know the art of using a sponge, cheesecloth, chip brushes (and how to mix the paint with glacis), I think I will indeed try this out in other parts of the hosue. And the great thing is that I know I can call them to come and watch me if I'm nervous about anything at all. I would definitely recommend Pearl Painters and their Academy of Artisan Finishes to anybody considering a painting project. I really have no complaint at all with them, their services or their professionalism.
