What We've Been Up To
Fall 2025
We post projects on a monthly basis, regularly showing off the painting projects that we've tackled throughout the Portland area.
It is a huge bonus to us (and a cost savings to our clients!) when the home is completely empty. This project was a rental in between tenants which is the perfect time to paint. With nothing in our way, and only floors to cover and protect, we can really move fast and save our clients money! Walls throughout a whole home like this become incredibly efficient, only taking a few days to be completely wrapped up.
This was a super fun project! Our team really felt at home and the client even said she’ll miss us at the door in the mornings. Love those comments! We fully repainted all the walls and ceilings in this home creating an entirely new look and feel. The pictures speak for themselves 🙂
These can be super tricky projects. Most natural doors are only a thin veneer, not solid wood. because of that, there are only so many times it can be fully refinished like what we did here. To bring this door back to life, we had to do a full strip, which is an extensive scraping/sanding process using several different sanding grits to get an even uniform surface, then restain and seal. If someone were to sand through that veneer, the only way to get uniformity again is to fully prime and paint the door. Luckily we were able to rescue this one! Now, with a regular maintenance coat, before it gets too far gone, this door can last many many more years.
These clients already had a poor experience with some previous painters, highlighting just how critical it is to not only listen, but to set proper expectations with every project we do. Hands down the biggest issue we hear people have with other contractors is around communication. Luckily we shine in this area! After a thorough up front meeting, dialing in precisely what they were after, our team showed up and was able to deliver on exactly what was promised!
We were introduced through our lovely friend Marilyn over at Precision Countertops. These clients were looking for a refresh on their kitchen cabinet boxes. These can be tricky projects, however all the ingredients were there for us to have a successful project and deliver on what we promised. Natural wood refinishing is absolutely more of an art than a skill, and our team delivered!
We frequently run up against HOAs, and have the luxury of flexibility since we are a small company willing to accomodate. This client had some repair work done on the front of her home and needed to have the front painted to avoid the wrath of the HOA. Later, we will be painting the whole home, including limewashing all the brick accents (stay tuned!), but for now, to avoid getting to the late season, we were able to take care of the important parts of her home. We will be back for the rest in the spring!
This client had some brand new trim and siding repair work done, and wanted to get things sealed prior to the rainy season. Luckily we were able to fit this into our schedule! Even when materials are new, it is important to clean before priming and painting. There was also some extra dry rot repair we found and were able to get taken care of, ensuring this home is cleaned up and ready for the winter.
After getting all their windows replaced and new trim accents around each window, they were ready for us to put the final touches on their home. We spent some time picking out a new color that best represented them and the home, we set the stage for a successful paint job with lots of scraping, sanding, and caulking, and had our team coordinate around some end of season weather. New windows, new paint, and we have some happy clients!
We do a TON of staining projects over the summer, and this was another great project! We took care of the homeowner’s fence, both sides, and we even took care of the new wood railing across the street at the coffee shop at the same time! These were different stains for different needs, really complimenting our ability to educate our clients on what is best for the project while meeting their needs. Curious? Give us a call!
We painted their neighbor’s house last summer, and we seem to have a pattern of leaving an impression! This client called us up, complimented our work and how great it still looks, and called us out for a bid. With new colors picked out and a fair bit of prep to take care of, this became quite the showcase home. Just look at those before and afters!
It’s always exciting when we wrap up the last exterior of the season! Some people don’t realize, but early October in Oregon is the last frontier for exteriors. It’s the last reliable period for full home paintings where we can work around some inclement weather; after this it’s no longer safe to guarantee our work. Read more: When is it too late to paint?
When people truly love what they do, it shows. And boy does it show here! Our team transformed this home, it’s glowing! You can see the level of detail and care put into each movement by our team here.
Another spectacular home re-vamped by Vanessa with ColorMoxie. This was a rare case, where we had an older home, but virtually no prep! Our process becomes super simple in these cases: clean, mask, inspect, and paint. That easy!
This was a fun project that put a lot of our skills to the test. New exterior window frames primed and painted, some interior painting on walls, ceilings, and trim, and even some custom walnut interior window frames that needed refinishing. It was a fun journey with spectacular results.
New color design win from our favorite color expert, Vanessa with ColorMoxie. The photos speak for themselves on this one: new wall color, new cabinet color, and we have an entirely new feel to this living space.
When it’s right it is right! These clients loved the colors on their home, but it was time for a refresh. We took care of some small dry rot repairs, prepped the rest of the home and repainted with the same colors, breathing new life into this home. Ethan, one of our Job Site Managers, has been taking these timelapse videos of our work. Super cool to see the team in action!
We love unique challanges and this was a fun one! This client wanted a personalized look for his fence, however it backs up to an alley and graffiti has been a problem. So we split the difference! Beaultiful custom work and colors on the inside, and a neutral fence color in a solid stain on the outside. We chose the solid stain option for the outside because that will make graffiti touch ups in the future way easier.
This homeowner was ready for a new color and look to their home altogether. We picked out a new color, new design, and we got to work. It is incredible what a difference a color change can make, as well as a more simplistic approach. We have a whole new feel to this home now!
Several years and several projects have gone by, finally it was time for the painting! Cedar siding often takes a lot of extra prep and time. You can see in the photos just how much time was spent scraping, priming, and caulking to get this home ready for paint. The results never lie, we have another beautiful home sealed and ready to take on the years once again.
Fewer things bring us greater joy than how we leave a positive impact with our clients. We painted this exterior over a decade ago, and have been around long enough for this home, like many others, to be ready for another exterior painting. These clients remembered us and the work we did so well, we were the only ones they called. We are happy to report the experience was even better a second time around. Warms our hearts 🙂
One of our favorite return clients was ready for a change. She found a lovely new shade to compliment her home, and a stunning accent color for the entry I (Luke) was personally super excited for! It’s always a pleasure serving familar faces.
Returning Customer
We completed a full repaint for this client years ago, and when they moved, they knew exactly who to call. This project involved a ton of masking! Older craftsman-style homes like this require a little extra care and time — and sometimes a slightly different approach to ensure another beautiful result.

I (Luke) was personally excited for this one! Many years ago, we painted the neighbor’s house — a spectacular project with bold colors that, in my opinion, became a true crown jewel of the neighborhood. It’s always a proud moment to drive by years later and see a home we painted still looking brand new. This time, the project was for the direct next-door neighbor. After a thorough, “you had us at hello” meeting, our team delivered another masterful repaint. Now there are two crown jewels shining side by side, brightening the whole street. Can’t wait to be back in this Tigard neighborhood again soon!
We had the opportunity to work on this beautiful manor in Portland. Our task was focused on the trim — and there was a lot of it! This project brought a handful of challenges that required some creative problem-solving. Our team put on their thinking caps to ensure every surface wasn’t just painted, but properly prepped, safely reached, and fully coated for lasting results. While the trim color remained the same, sometimes the smallest touches of care make the biggest difference. We love how refreshed and polished this home looks!
